Full job description:
Who we are:
OwlLight Therapy provides in home ABA services
8:00am-4:00pm to children ages 1-5 years old. The
services target increasing communication, appropriate
social skills, self-care, and decreasing maladaptive
behavior. Furthermore, we promote knowledge and
understanding of Applied Behavior Analysis to the
families through parent training and quality services.
Every child is unique and their treatment plan is
individualized. We are looking for an enthusiastic
individual looking to grow with us while pursuing their
masters in Applied Behavior Analysis. This position is a
Case Manager Position that will consist of providing 1:1
ABA services to the client and completing unrestricted
work based on the BACB requirements. Case Managers
will be required to get certified as a Registered Behavior
Technician within three months of employment. Under
the supervision of Board Certified Behavior Analysts, the
Behavior Technicians (RBT) will provide the therapeutic
services. RBTS are paraprofessionals certified in behavior
analysis and provide the direct services to the clients.
Responsibilities include:
- Provide 1:1 ABA therapy
- Take data on the client’s progress
- Write session notes at the end of each session
- Facilitate group activities
- Set up for sessions/clean up after sessions
- Create materials for the clients
- Follow the daily schedule
- Read and answer work emails within 24hrs
- Required to get certified as a Registered Behavior Technician
within 3 months of employment
Additionally, complete unrestricted work based on the BACB requirements:
The trainee’s primary focus should be on acquiring the skills
necessary to demonstrate competence of relevant tasks on the appropriate BACB Task List and the skills necessary to interact effectively with consumers, supervisors, families, and others. All of the following are done under the supervision of a BCBA
- Conducting assessments related to the need for behavioral intervention (e.g., stimulus preference assessment, functional assessment, staff performance
assessment) or for evaluating behavioral interventions - Designing, implementing, and systematically monitoring skill-acquisition and behavior-reduction programs
- Writing behavior/treatment plans, progress summaries, clinical notes, transition summaries, and professional correspondence
- Training others, designing behavioral systems, and performance management
- Observation and data collection
- Data graphing and analysis
- Meeting with clients about behavior-analytic programming and services
- Communicating and collaborating effectively with caregivers and other professionals
- Other activities normally performed by a behavior analyst that are directly related to behavior analysis such as attending planning meetings regarding the behavior analytic program and researching the literature that is relevant to a current client’s programming
